The Viewer of the Year
The Viewer of the Year (de Kijker van het jaar) was nominated for the Golden Rose in Luzern 2005, the most important European television award.
At the end of 2003, 2004 and 2005 één concluded the television year with a search for the viewer of the year.
The most touching moments, the funniest lapses, the biggest blunders, they all were shown in The Viewer of the Year. In that way we got a surprising overview of the past television year.
The Viewer of the Year was a Sunday night show with Ben Crabbé, which was preceded by a short preliminary round. All viewers could participate in the show. One hundred experienced television viewers got the chance to be crowned viewer of the year.
The winner, the viewer of the year, could go home with the car of the year. In 2005 Sander Beusen was the best viewer. He got a Renault Clio.
