Blocks
Every weekday Ben Crabbé presents Blocks (Blokken), the longest-running quiz in Flanders. Two candidates compete against each other in a quiz and computer game in which blocks have to be dropped in such a way they fill up lines of the game board.
Blocks is now in its fourteenth season. Not only is it the longest-running daily quiz show in Flanders, it has also attracted a remarkable big audience and an exceptionally high malet share of 42% through all those years. Together thousands of candidates have answered more than 80,000 questions – be it correctly or not. Candidates get funny, surprising, exciting and hilarious questions about flowers, politicians, movie stars, geometry, football, tennis, capital cities, spelling, rivers and everything that interests people.
The candidate who has the highest score after three rounds, plays the final round. He or she gets two minutes to answer as many questions as possible correctly and to drop as many blocks as possible in order to find a seven letter word with the help of a clue. If someone wins three episodes in a row, he or she plays for the super prize in his or her third final.
To win Blocks you have to know a lot, be fast and play well with the blocks.
