On the 6th of June, Tom Waes begins his new mission in Lommel: portray the protagonist in the Eén-series Undercover. The series will air in the spring of 2019 at the earliest and follows agents going undercover in the world of drugs at the frontier region of Belgium and the Netherlands. The bigger roles in this series filled with suspense and dark humour will be portrayed by Flemish and Dutch top actors. One of the key locations is camping Blauwe Meer in Lommel.

Tom Waes takes care of the leading man and becomes the Belgian undercover agent Bob Lemmens. Tom’s co-star is Dutch actress Anna Drijver (Loft, Komt een vrouw bij de dokter, Bride Flight) who will be playing Kim De Rooy. Both agents will be deployed to catch the Dutch drug lord Ferry Bouman (Frank Lammers). The man is stinking rich but prefers to spend his weekends and holidays with his wife (Elise Schaap, Bride Flight) on the folksy campsite a stone throw away from his mega-villa in Lommel. Bob and Kim settle in as a couple in the chalet next to Ferry and Danielle. Their goal: win over their trust and become friends so they can arrest him in the end.

The other key characters are portrayed by Katrien De Ruysscher (Stille Waters, Thuis), Manou Kersting (Cordon, Crimi Clowns) en Kevin Janssens (D’Ardennen, Patrouille Linkeroever).  Nico Molenaar (Vermist), Bart Uytdenhouwen (Spitsbroers) en Piet Matthys (Vermist) provide the script. Frank Devos (Highway of Love)and Eshref Reybrouck (Cordon 2, Marsman, Hassel) are the directors.

 The shooting, which will take place mainly in Lommel, runs from 6thof June ‘til the end of the year.
